Force In Training (FIT)

October 25, 2022

A first of its kind training for high school students, FIT uses restaurant leaders to teach job readiness skills such as how to conduct a job search, prepare a resume and be a good leader. FIT Certificates are awarded to students who complete the training and pass an exam.

How does it work? Sponsors are invited to fill volunteer spots first. We’ll match restaurant leaders with a high school in their local area. Volunteer assignments are 1-hour:

  • 10 – ten minute introduction about who you are, where you work, and career paths at your company
  • 20 – twenty minutes working with students on developing an “elevator pitch”.
  • 30 – thirty minutes of mock-interview practice

Students also receive a series of videos and activities that their teacher presents in October to round out the training.
