We believe in giving youth their first break and skills to put them on the ladder to success. The CRA Foundation is honored to partner with The Proud Bird Food Bazaar & Event Center in Los Angeles to launch “The Ladder Project”.
The Ladder Project is a new fundraising campaign that allows restaurant guests to support the CRA Foundation’s life-changing job training and leadership development programs for teens.
During the Ladder Project promotion at The Proud Bird, diners simply make a $3 donation and they receive a coupon for a free Classic Burger on their next visit.
John Tallichet, President of Specialty Restaurants Corp., which owns The Proud Bird, is currently the Chairman of the CRA Foundation Board of Directors. He has a long legacy of supporting culinary arts education. In 2016, he established the David C Tallichet, Jr. / Specialty Restaurants Corp Scholarship Endowment Fund with the CRA Foundation. The endowment has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to support passionate students pursuing their degree in hospitality management.
Specialty Restaurants Corporation also supports many other CRA Foundation programs including FIT, a job-readiness training, and The Culinary + Cocktail Clash, a friendly competition between restaurants to raise funds for high school culinary classes.
