The Culinary Clash is a unique competition that pairs restaurant leaders with high school sous chefs to create an entrée and appetizer using special ingredients. Meet a few of our student sous chefs below! 

You can see the action live on June 2 at STC Anaheim GardenWalk. The event is free and open to the community. Starting at 1pm there will be live music, bites, and activities for the whole family. Cooking goes down at 3pm!

Andrew – Team Urban Plates!

Andrew is senior at Newport Harbor High School. He’s no stranger to competition – he recently competed in the CA ProStart Cup, a statewide culinary competition for high school students.

Christian – Team Specialty Restaurants Corp!

Christian from San Dimas High School found his passion in life – and he’s going for it! See this video of Team SRC asking Christian about his career goals.

“The chef gave me a tour of entire restaurant and showed me things like their meat aging room. The manager even invited me to have dinner with her family. I am also really excited to start practicing our dishes.” – Christian

Katie – Team California Fish Grill!

Chef Louie Jocson from California Fish Grill won the CRA Foundation’s 2018 Mentor of the Year. He knows the importance of experiences like the Culinary Clash! This year, he is working with Katie from Orange County School of the Arts.
